former runs parallel to Bolívar Avenue and is
not only easily accessible, but also offers
parking spaces. Services are available: There
are beach chairs and umbrellas for rent and
roving peddlers sell food, beverages and a
variety of articles, such as sunglasses,
bathing suits and pearls. The beach is ideal
for the practice of Parasailing (launch-hauled
parachuting). Bella Vista, for its part,
offers visitors a chance to get a fabulous
suntan while enjoying their favorite cocktail.
Those who prefer can rent water skis or
arrange at the beach to kayak or sail in a
catamaran or sports launch. The free port
shopping to be done in Margarita is common
knowledge. Fashion articles imported from all
over the world are available in the large
shopping centers. The variety is endless.

 La
Caracola Beach
Porlamar’s
most important beach, La Caracola runs
parallel to Bolívar Avenue along the full
length of Costa Azúl –some 2,200 m or 7,260
ft-- in the southern part of Margarita Island
. Sportsmen jog, walk, cycle and skate along
the beach, among other things. Some food
stalls can be found on the beach and awnings
are rented. The water temperature there is
24°C or 75°F.

Vista Beach
This 1,000 m or 3,300 ft palm-bordered beach
is Porlamar’s most exclusive, with excellent
restaurants and offers all other services. The
water temperature here is 27°C or 80.6°F.
