- There are daily flights from Lima, Cusco,
Tacna and Puno into the Arequipa airport only
30 minutes from the city.
- It is also interconnected with the rest of
the country by road.
- The distance from Lima to Arequipa via the
South Pan American Highway is 1,020 km (633.8
miles), a trip of about 12 hours by car and 18
by bus.
- Trains also travel between Arequipa and Puno
and Cusco and the Inca service links up
Arequipa and Sumbay in the same department.
