Colonial Cities

Potosi
Potosí, Sucre y Tarabuco
This cultural tour includes a visit to South America’s best examples of republican colonial architecture: Sucre and Potosí, declared by UNESCO to be the Cultural and Natural Heritage of Mankind, where one can find colonial and religious monuments and a number of relics of the past.

Large and burgeoning Antioquia
Settled by muleteers and men of peace who became tenacious and industrious workers, zealous and hard-working in their desire to build a homeland and who, in their love for their land and appreciation of its bounty, forged a history that is the pride of Colombia.

Ecuador's colonial cities
Quito, Guayaquil and Cuenca, Ecuador’s three most important cities, boast historical colonial districts combined with classical and modern styles and architecture. These districts contain countless tourist and cultural attractions and top-quality tourist infrastructure that is suitable for holding international events, fairs, congresses and conventions.

Trujillo, cradle of Chimu Suzerainty
Trujillo, capital of the department of La Libertad, on Peru’s northern coast is, without a doubt, one of the most important cities in this part of the country. The carefully conserved city center, with its streets laid out in the sixteenth century and its rich architectural trove of mansions, palaces and churches, leads us back a hundred years.

Maracaibo, Zulia State
Maracaibo, the capital of Zulia State and the country’s second largest city, is located on the banks of the lake of the same name.  Seaman Alonso de Ojeda, one of Christopher Columbus’s companions on his second trip, discovered the site on August 24, 1499.  The city was first founded in 1529, when German governor Ambrosio Alfinger established a settlement there.  It was sacked and burned innumerable times by scores of pirates who sailed the lake.
