The national highway network is interconnected in such a way that national and international cargo transportation can be handled.
Bogotá has a transmillennial urban transportation system. Articulated buses run along the central lanes and passengers have allotted waiting places and access to buses over pedestrian bridges. Bus stops are located every 500 meters, making this a rapid and efficient mass transportation system.

A Savannah Tourist Train runs on Saturdays and Sundays in Bogotá, covering the extensive savannah as far as Zipaquirá in the Department of Cundinamarca, site of Latin America’s only salt cathedral. During the journey, passengers can enjoy the beauties of the landscape, sample traditional dishes and enjoy Colombian music.
