Types of climate in Colombia
Just as Colombia’s topography is varied, so are its climates, from the hot coastal areas to the freezing cold of its snow-capped mountains.

Along the coast, there is a rainy season and the average annual temperature is a high 28ºC.

In the southern area up to 2 200masl, the climate is subtropical and up to 3 000 masl, it is temperate.

The capital city of Bogotá enjoys an average temperature of 14ºC with a low of 8ºC and a high of 20ºC. There are no well-defined seasons, but a rainy period extends from March to May.

Cold
Heavy clothing with warm sports jacket, long-sleeved shirts, woolen jacket and long trousers.
Mild
Light daytime wear, short-sleeved shirts, short trousers or shorts, t-shirts, and heavier clothing for evening.
Hot
Light clothing for both daytime and night wear, with shorts, short-sleeved shirts and t-shirts.
