	One can reach Mompox by land over the hard-top road running from the town of Bogega and then crossing the Magdalena. The ferry ride across the river in a boat accommodating 300 people offers tourists the opportunity to enjoy the beauties of the landscape. Small commercial planes fly by day into the San Bernardo municipal airport serving Mompox.
