Health Measures |
Travelers are most liable to get sick from food- and water-borne diseases. It is therefore recommended that visitors to Bolivia drink only bottled water or beverages and choose their eating places with an eye to hygiene.
Travelers are recommended to get vaccinated against malaria, although they are at risk for malaria in tropical rural areas only.
Vaccinations depend upon the region to be visited and the activities to be carried out in Bolivia. For further information visit our Contagious Diseases Center at: www.cdc.gov/travel/tropsam.htm.
