COMMON INVESTMENT REGIME
The Andean Community has a Common Investment Regime (Decision 291) that guarantees foreign investors equal and non-discriminatory treatment and gives Member Countries the freedom to define their investment policies through their own national legislation.

ANDEAN MULTINATIONAL ENTERPRISES - EMA
Andean Multinational Enterprises (Decision 292) are defined as enterprises in which investors from two or more Andean Community countries own at least 60% of the equity capital. These enterprises enjoy national treatment in the public procurement of goods and services; the right to remit in freely convertible currencies the totality of the dividends that are distributed; national treatment in tax mattes, and the right to establish branches in other Member Countries.
 
 
ANDEAN INVESTMENT PROMOTION STRATEGY
The implementation of an Investment Promotion Strategy for the Andean Community is aimed at enhancing national strengths and coordinating joint actions to ensure that foreign investment contributes to the integration and effective development of the Andean subregion.
